On 16 December 2014, seven members of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) conducted a terrorist
attack on the Army Public School in the Pakistani city of Peshawar. They entered the school and opened fire on school staff and children, killing 145 people, including 132 schoolchildren, ranging between eight and eighteen years of age.
The attack sparked widespread reactions in Pakistan, receiving condemnations from public, government, Political and religion entities, journalists, and social scientists.
Even the terrorist organisation Al-Qaeda's spokesperson said that "Our hearts are bursting with pain" and Pakistan's traditional rival express grieve on this attack. Indian school observe two minutes silence in tribute to the victims.

Army started retaliation across the country, also pressurizing political parties and government entities to settle down their disputes on table and lifting moratorium on execution of terrorists.
The reaction of attack was also observed on social media e.g facebook. With words not sufficient, many Pakistanis turned their profile pictures black to mourn the tragedy.
Pictures of students of schools which was turned into children's slaughterhouse got viral on social media.
One of martyrs, mubeen shah's facebook profile got viral and got over one lakh likes on profile picture and thousands of like on comments.
